SOCIAL NETWORKING

STRATEGIES

C.H.A.N.G.E.

Social Networking Strategies (SNS) is one Compass’ HIV prevention programs funded through the Florida Department of Health and plays a major role in our HIV services. To date, Compass maintains a positivity rate of 2.4% annually, the highest in the state of Florida by more than double. This means that Compass finds the most at-risk individuals and insures they are aware of their status and linked into care.

If you answer yes to the following questions:

  1. Bullet  Do you feel education on HIV/AIDS is important?

  2. BulletDo you want your friends, family, associates, and other loved ones to know their status?

  3. Bullet  Do you like having fun and give back to the community?

Then it’s time for a C.H.A.N.G.E.

C.H.A.N.G.E. (Compass HIV/AIDS Networking Gathering Envoy) is a social networked based program.  CHANGE recruits key individuals called Envoys to help educate the community about HIV/AIDS, and refer those in their social network to get tested.  C.H.A.N.G.E. serves 3 major purposes.

First, it educates the community about HIV education and prevention.  Second, it promotes and conducts free HIV rapid testing to individuals referred. And lastly, CHANGE links individuals who are HIV positive into immediate care with Compass case management services located on-site.
