The mission of CAN Community Health is to inspire and contribute to the health and well-being of those affected by HIV, Hepatitis c, and other sexually transmitted diseases by providing the best care through outreach, integrated clinical practice, advocacy, education, and research.

Dr. Sheetal Sharma offers more than 30 years of experience in HIV Medicine, Internal Medicine and research.

Dr. Sharma received his medical training from The University Of Nairobi, Faculty of Medicine, a recognized World Health Organization training education center in Kenya.

He came from London, England with extensive experience in HIV medicine, having worked at The University of London teaching hospitals, where he also trained in Diagnostic Radiology.

Prior to joining CAN Community Health, Dr. Sharma is fellowship trained in General Surgery, Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery, Intensive care from McGill University hospitals, Montreal, Canada.

On arrival in USA, he worked in a fellowship program with Professor Margaret Fischl, MD, at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine.

He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The Mercy-Fitzgerald Medical Center/ Medical College of Pennsylvania, Darby, Philadelphia, PA.

His previous appointments have included Medical Director at CSI ( Center of Special Immunology ) Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Staff Physician with Broward Health, and Assistant Professor of Medicine with Florida International University and Florida Atlantic University for resident training in out-patient clinic.
