The Loxahatchee River Historical Society, Inc. (LRHS) operates the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum and preserves, shares, and advocates for the diverse maritime history, ancient cultures, and sensitive natural systems of the Loxahatchee River region in northern Palm Beach County, Florida.
We commit to our core values of inclusion and diversity, and we enthusiastically embrace our role as a beacon of welcome and hospitality to everyone we serve.
As a Congressionally named nonprofit partner in the Department of Interior's National Conservation lands, the Society strives to protect, conserve, and enhance the unique and nationally significant values of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area (ONA) for future generations.
We are committed to safeguarding more than 5,000 years of unique, layered history, honoring Indigenous Peoples, Spanish Shipwreck Period, African American and settler pioneers, Lighthouse and military eras, and the fragile habitats of our heritage site.
