The Transgender Day of Remembrance
Join us on Tuesday, November 20, 2019 at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center at the Palm Beach State College Belle Glade Campus to remember and honor those in the transgender community whom we have lost to hatred and violence.
This year, over 20 transgender people have been murdered as a result of anti-transgender violence. Bee Love, a Palm Beach County resident and member of our community, was among those killed.
This year, in conjunction with Bee Love's mother and family, we will be observing the Transgender day of Remembrance in Belle Glade, where Bee Love was from.
Palm Beach State College has generously donated their beautiful Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center in Belle Glade as a place for us to gather and remember those we have lost.
We are also partnering with organizations across the state to bring this tragedy, and all the other victims of senseless violence, into the light as we call for acceptance of transgender people everywhere and the recognition that they are equal members of society.
Please join us and PBCHRC, MCC of the Palm Beaches, The Rusty Gordon LGBTA Democratic Caucus of the Palm Beaches, PFLAG - Palm Beach and Equality Florida on November 20, 2019 for this historic event.
